"Vogtsbauernhof" open air museum, Gutach

Experience 400 years of history up close: The "Vogtsbauernhof" open air museum gives you a close up, live look at living and working conditions in the old days in the Black Forest. The Vogtsbauernhof has around 220,000 visitors a year and since its opening in 1964 it has received over 15 million visitors making it one of the most visited open-air museums in Germany.

The Black Forest farms, mills, workshops, bars, barns and numerous other buildings show how, for example dairy farming, traditional livestock farming, grain milling, wood processing or textile handicrafts were practiced.
